HOTEL PROJECT

HOTEL PROJECT

This project involved the redesign of a hotel. The project was completed in spring 2025, located in the city centre of Oslo.

This project draws inspiration from traditional Norwegian rose painting, a motif deeply rooted in folk and farm culture that later became a hallmark of Norwegian art.

It references patterns from the Norwegian national costume to further connect the design to cultural heritage.

In the reception area, the walls feature U-shaped elements, adorned with fresco-style painting by Edvard Munch called Solen.

The shapes evoke the contours of the Norwegian fjords. The project is titled Fjellroser, meaning “Mountain Roses,” reflecting both the natural landscape and traditional decorative art.

SUITE

For this project, we were tasked with redesigning a hotel inspired by the French hotel Charmante in Bergen, known for its bold use of patterns and colors.

At the same time, the redesign needed to reflect a theme rooted in Norwegian culture, creating a harmonious blend of international flair and local identity.
